Bamboo Indoor Fountain - How To Build Your Own Bamboo Fountain

__________________________________________________________________
Building an bamboo indoor fountain doesn't require a lot of technical expertise and will be in the scope of most people.

A bamboo indoor fountain not only adds character to your home but it will also introduce a touch of serenity and create a feeling of peace. The sound of running water seems to have a calming effect on most of us and once you have your fountain up and running you'll wonder why you didn't introduce one earlier.

In this article, we're going to give you a "crash course in putting together your very own fountain.

Building A Bamboo Indoor Fountain

Bamboo fountains are one of the most popular and least inexpensive fountains you can put together. Let's get started:

1. First of all, you'll require three hollow sticks of bamboo. These sticks will be different lengths with the longest about a foot in length. The other two sticks will also be different lengths - the middle stick about 6-8 inches while the smallest length no longer than 4 inches.

2. Your base can be a bowl which needs a little depth. In other words, a bowl with a diameter of between 10-12 inches is required. In addition, pebbles or rocks are needed and this is where you can be a little creative. Many opt for a mixture of natural colored rocks and those with other color shades. This is up to you. A pump will complete your requirements before you start to assemble your bamboo indoor fountain. By the way, a tube which will fit the hollow dimensions of your sticks is necessary.

3. Assemble the sticks together in any shape you desire. The sticks can be tied together or held together with glue. If you are using glue then make sure it is water resistant.

4. The water pump will take pride of place in the middle of your base bowl. You can hold down the pump by surrounding it with the rocks but you want to be sure not to obstruct the passage of the tube. The tube should protrude upwards at least ten inches from the base. If it's too long then rearrange it so it matches the height of the longest stick.

5. The tube needs to be adapted to the longest length of bamboo and again, be careful that the tube is not longer than this stick. Once you have this in place, it's time to add water to the bowl. Fill it to between a third and a half the depth of the bowl. Turn on the water pump and you're good to go.

The beauty of this style of bamboo indoor fountain is you can rearrange the design of it according to what suits your preference. It's also movable as long as there is a power outlet nearby.
